Excess remedy

                                                                           Excess remedy
Already there is an infection in the patient’s body which has caused several diseases. This infection may be considered to be a poison hidden  in the body. In order to remove this poison from the patient’s body, a micro quantity of a remedy is given. This remedy also may be considered to be a poison.
Now if you give some remedy in excess, this will also create few new symptoms. This new symptoms are nothing but the drug disease.  Now to over come these drug diseases we need to give some other remedy as an antidote.
Now stop here and give  a thought. The patient has become more sick. The situation has become worse and that of a wrestling ground for the disease, the drug disease and the antidote. Let us analyse in steps—
  1. The infection in the patient’s body has remained untouched.
  2. Excess remedy has created several drug diseases.
  3. To neutralise the bad effect of excess remedy, we need to give some antidote.
  4. If this antidote is not effective, we need to give some other antidote.
  5. We realise that we went far off from the infection curing.
  6. The real work of infection removal is lost.
  7. We are busy with all the wrong remedies and wrong procedures.
  8. Our precious time is lost.
  9. The disease may get in advanced  stage.
  10. The patient may have to suffer more.
  11. The Homoeopathy is blamed for nothing.
  12. The fight should have been between the infection and the remedy but due to the lack of knowledge, the fight is in between the two unwanted remedies.
If we take too much of a remedy, a set of symptoms(Drug disease) will be produced and we will fall sick. The remedy does not leave the body easily. As I have explained earlier, the vital life force is very sensitive to the Homeopathic remedies. Excess remedy creates great disturbance in the life force, making the human to fall sick. At the same time the body system will try to expel the unwanted remedy out from the body. But the body system can not expel it out at once. The  fight between the body system and the remedy continues for longer time, depending up on the remedy, the potency and it’s quantity. Higher the potency, longer the time. More the quantity, more the time. The body system continues to secrete the excess remedy at a certain rate. Slowly over a period of time, the remedy becomes weak and is fully thrown out of the body. It may take years and decades to entirely secrete the remedy. The human has to keep falling sick for all these years and decades. If a metal or chemical preparation is taken too much in excess, even a human life span will be less for the body to completely expel the  remedy. It will be difficult to explain, how much time the body system will take to completely throw out the entire remedy. It will mainly depend on the patient, the quantity and potency, the infection hidden inside, and relationship with the remedy etc. By overdosing the patient falls  prey to Homoeopathy.  The case is called ‘Homoeopathy spoiling the case’.  The purpose of writing  about over dosing is to warn you against the  serious consequences of Overdosing. And it is the fact.
NEVER USE MUCH QUANTITY. IT CAN NEVER CURE A DISEASE AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM. LEARN THE ART OF WONDERFUL CURE. Use of micro quantity may delay the cure by few days but the quantity more than the required may aggravate the disease for many years. Excess remedy (over dosing) will create serious consequences. Be warned.

Remedy speed

                                                                    The remedy speed
It is said that a human’s mind moves fastest. In fact the human’s mind reaches a place or situation without any travel. Homeopathic remedies reach a part of the body (organ) after travelling through entire body tissues. It is said that if all the tissue/cells of a human’s body is connected in one line, the length can equal the equatorial length of the earth. Homoeopathic remedies reach the effected part of the body  after travelling the whole body. That means  the remedies work at an amazing speed. In fact we need not worry about the working speed of the remedies. The working speed of Homeopathic remedies  is faster than you can imagine.  We must learn how to control the working speed and bring it to halt as required. If any one questions the response and effectiveness of the remedies, it will simply mean that he only knows the word “Homoeopathy”, in fact he knows nothing about Homoeopathy. The remedies work differently during proving and curing. This finding may look uncommon and odd, but one can realise this while curing a serious case of cancer , weak and aged patients. 1/5000 of a pill, either may begin to cure a cancer or start to aggravate the situation. So, one can realise the response and effectiveness of the remedy. Remember, I have used even 1/10,000 (one upon ten thousand) of a pill with good results.
Many a times we read instructions that says— Do not eat raw onions, pickles etc six hours before and after taking the remedies. It is all true, but does not mean that these things will in fact stop the working of the remedies. During my experimentation, I  did  take  plenty of raw onions and pickles but nothing happened to the effect of the remedy. It kept working as usual. Even the tobacco and smoking could not retard the effects and working of the remedies. Should it be the case, then we can take the remedies and eat raw onion and pickle to stop it from working. In which case the antidotes  are not required. But these thing  may retard the process of cure.
If you ask me very frankly, I would only say that these things are used as a protection. The Homoeopath takes time to understand the case and select the required remedy. It is all true. Finding the right remedy is very difficult due to the symptoms complication. But Homoeopathy should never be blamed for it. In fact  we are slow in the selection of the right remedy. Once the right remedy is selected and the manifestation is produced, then  a disease is  cured very quickly. But there are lots of steps in doing this and consumes lot of time. We must master the art of cure.
In one case of minor Injury, the remedy Arnica 30 1 pill, reduced the pain within 2 minutes. But while using the constitutional remedy we should never try this. Bringing relief without a manifestation indicates that the selection of the remedy is wrong. Also the remedy should produce manifestation only after 10 hours(10 hours after taking remedy). Producing manifestation within 1 hour, indicates that the given quantity  was more than required. It may lead to aggravation instead of cure. Few patients may withstand the quicker manifestation and quick relief without any aggravation. So long as the patient feels better, it is alright.  But in a weak and aged  patient, it is never advisable.

We conclude that remedies offer quick response and work at a faster speed. We must learn how to control the effect and stop it from producing undesirable sufferings.  This the very reason, I am here.

Columns to consider

                                                                            COLUMNS TO CONSIDER
Following  columns must be filled  strictly to minimise the mistakes, avoid waste of time and achieve quick cure. I am sure that this practice will help in getting quality cure without any aggravation and unwanted situation.

  1. Remedy
  2. Potency of the remedy. Be careful/avoid the use of the potency higher than the potency suggested in MM of Dr. Boericke.
  3. How long you want the remedy to work? In hours or days.
  4. Quantity required for column 3. Because the working period will depend up on the quantity.
  5. Relationship with previous remedy taken. If any.
  6. Follow up remedies.
  7. Inimical remedies. Should never be given before,  after or simultaneously with remedy.
  8. Antidote- Choose one, the most suitable. Quantity of antidote.
  9. Periodicity as per the table of Dr. Boericke MM.
  10. Periodicity as per experience.
  11. Number of doubts and confusions.
  12. Refer entire table and note the relation of other remedies with the one selected in column 1.
  13. Refer the potency for corresponding line in MM of Dr. Boericke
  14. Refer all other books for the selected remedy.
  15. Refer grand characteristics of the selected remedy.
  16. Any contraindication.
  17. Complementary remedy, if any.
  18. Remark, if any.
  19. Conclusion.

Dose

                                                                                 Dose
This is very confusing word and needs a clear definition. The "dose" must be defined in terms of quantity. We must clearly understand --What is dose, quantity, micro quantity, and suitable quantity.  A certain quantity of a remedy may be called a dose and to repeat it at a suitable interval, is repeating the remedy. I have never used this word through out my work. There is no rule to measure a dose. A certain quantity  that is capable to produce a symptom, may be called a dose. But there is no  common  quantity for all the remedies to be called dose. 1/30,0000 of a pill, I repeat, 1/30,000 of a pill may be called a  micro quantity.  A quantity which produces a symptom or favourable symptom called manifestation, without any aggravation or without causing any harm to the patient, may be called a suitable quantity

Different remedies will  produce it’s corresponding symptoms depending up on the potency and the quantity. So, it becomes important to decide the quantity depending up on the patient, the remedy and the potency. Points to consider—
  1. Quantity may be little more in acute cases and less in chronic cases.
  2. The quantity of the remedy must never be repeated unless the effect of the previous remedy/quantity  is completely exhausted.
  3. With the number of repetition  increasing, the quantity must keep reducing.
  4. Few remedies work for fixed period of time. In such cases, the quantity may be kept fixed and the remedy may be required to be repeated at a suitable time gap.
  5. As a rule, minimum quantity and  maximum interval is the most successful practice.
  6. With nearing cure, the quantity must keep reducing.
  7. More chronic the case, longer the effect of the remedy.
  8. If the first quantity worked for 30 days, the next repetition may work for 35 days. Added quantity, added days. That is the reason, a fixed quantity can not be used for a fixed period of time.
Let us see one table for example:
  9. A HUMAN                                                              A HUMAN
Is very hungry                                                        is very sick.
He needs to eat food.                                            He needs a medicine.
Can he eat for three days at once—No                 Can he take too much of a
                                                                                        medicine at a once- No.

If he eats much, his body will not accept it                      If he takes much, his body will
He will fall sick and vomit out                                          not accept it. He will fall sick later

Similar is the case here. It is simply the relation between the demand of the remedy by a patient and the supply of a remedy  by a Homoeopath. The demand of the remedy by the patient will depend on the susceptibility of the patient. We must understand and  learn to balance this relation. The remedy should be slightly less than the demand but never more than the demand. This is the reason the quantity should be as less as possible and the repetition of the remedy should be at an interval, as long as possible.
It has been experienced that a human needs to take some quantity of food about three times a day depending up on the appetite. Like wise it has been experienced that Homoeopathic   preparation can be given on daily, weekly or monthly  or quarterly basis. Daily basis or more than once in a day, is only in case of Injury remedies. In general the constitutional remedies are given once in a month or once in a quarter(Three months). This mainly depends on the case. The patient age is very crucial to consider. The patient has to be kept under constant watch. The strong preparation in certain potency is divided to make it micro quantity so as to give it on quarterly basis. Even if the remedy is correctly selected, it can not be given in large quantity. The remedy should never be repeated until  the effect of the previous remedy is totally exhausted. If the remedy is repeated before the effect is totally exhausted then the remedy will start increasing the disease (aggravation) instead of curing.
I will illustrate a big incidence in brief. A case of a lady aged about 50 years.  About 5 pills of Hepar sluphur 200 and Silicea 200 had balanced each other’s effect. After  about 10 years at a the time of leaving the body, great distress was created by both the remedies. Severe headache, vomiting, body ache, severe pain in legs and hands, chest muscle painful. I thought to antidote H.S by Belladonna 30 1/150 of a pill, being no other option. I gave Belladonna 30 1/150 of a pill at 0900 am. At about 10.30 am, the lady cried with severe pain in her left side of chest muscle.  I asked her to sit down. She pressed and rubbed her chest out of fear and wept. I referred the Repertory of Dr. Boericke, Stomach, Spasmodic contraction, painful, cardio-spasm. It was caused by Silicea 200 5 pills. After 4 days again the she felt severe headache in night at about 0300 am.( Aggravation time of sulphur) I gave Belladonna 30 1/500. Now again after some time she felt some thing abnormal in her heart. I got the ECG and sonography done for the heart. Report was normal. After few days again she got severe headache and painful nape(Sil).  I gave Belladonna 30 1/ 1000 of  a pill. It gave little relief with no distress. It would be worth to note that  Belladonna depressed the action of H.S. This caused Silicea to become more strong. Silica created own symptom (Cardio-spasm). I had given Graphites 200 5 pills also. May be that H.S, Silicea and Graphites, all the three created  some kind of balance in the body. Antidote of Graphites is Aconite. Aconite is the antidote of Belladonna. A close relationship was formed amongst these remedies. Therefore even a small quantity of Belladonna disturbed the whole balance. I still can not imagine (I get scared) what would have happened, if I would have given more quantity of Belladonna 30. (for example - Belladonna 30 --1/90 or 1/60 or 1/30)
We can say that the correct  quantity  of  a well selected remedy is the quantity which produces some manifestation and offers some relief to the patient without creating any aggravation.

We learn from the above that Homoeopathy is nothing but the fine art of balancing the vital life force. We also learn that a specific quantity of a remedy can only be decided depending up on the situation and the patient. One rule for all and one quantity always, can never be followed.  All the explanations become a mere guide for us to form  a back-ground of the  Homoeopathy. From these learnings, we can have a broader aspect of the system, which will help us in following Single remedy system. Refer htysolution.blogspot.com

Practicals

                                                                    Practicals of Homoeopathy
After taking up the case, we select a suitable remedy. After the suitable remedy has been selected, the quantity of the remedy is determined. Now give the remedy to the patient. The symptoms (effect of the remedy) appears after certain time gap. The effect of the remedy should not appear before about 10 to 15 hours. If the effect of the remedy appears before 10 hours that means the quantity of the remedy is more than the required. If you give too much quantity of a remedy, the symptoms (the effect of the remedy) are produced within a minute( in few seconds),but it is never a good sign. Here again two things—If the selected remedy was correct but the quantity was much then—- This will produce manifestation, may give some relief to the patient but after some time the remedy will start producing it’s own symptoms(aggravation). It will work for longer time and while living the body, this will create great distress. If the selected remedy  was wrong and the quantity of the remedy was much then— This will not create any manifestation and start creating it’s symptom (the effect) directly as mentioned in MM and repertory. It will work for longer time and while leaving the body, this will create great distress. (please refer htysolution.blogspot.com). First thing first —always remember to use micro-micro quantity. Low let us see the possibilities after giving remedies—

  1. Patient complains of toothache/sensitiveness in teeth— It is a perfect manifestation. Patient will feel better at the same time. Wait for the sufficient time and repeat the remedy again
  2. Patient complains of toothache/sensitiveness in teeth—but does not feel good. It is an aggravation. Watch for some time and antidote the remedy.
  3. Patient complains of toothache/sensitiveness in teeth—but  feels worse—Antidote the remedy immediately.
  4. The patient falls sick abnormally in proportion to the quantity— the remedy is just opposite in nature to the required remedy. Antidote the remedy immediately.
  5. Patient complains of some increase in the sufferings— Antidote the remedy immediately.
  6. Patient complains of some additional sufferings. It means that the remedy has produced it’s own symptoms. antidote the remedy immediately.
  7. Nothing happened after taking the remedy- The remedy is not related to the required remedy. It has not produced any symptom. It is acting adversely in the body. It may be the matter of serious concern. The remedy is acting silently. The remedy might act adversely on the Liver or kidney. The symptoms may go unnoticed. Confirm the remedy, potency and quantity. Antidote the remedy immediately as required.
  8. No manifestation but relief in the sufferings- The selection of the remedy is not proper. The remedy may be repeated again to confirm the symptoms.
  9. The patient may show some improvement for some time, there after no improvement at all. Find the real cause. May be required to antidote the remedy.
  10. Confusion— The patient can not explain or you can not understand. In both the cases the remedy may be required to be repeated. Confirm the selection of the remedy.
  11. The patient  feels better for some time and returns back to the  sufferings. The potency may be less than the required. You may decide to use higher potency.
  12. All his sufferings increased— The remedy may not be suitable, the potency may not be suitable or the quantity may be much.
  13. Even if the remedy is suitable, much quantity of the remedy may produce serious aggravation.
  14. Some times the aggravation will be so much that it will be difficult to control the situation.  The action of the remedy may not be brought under control even after anti-doting the remedy. It is always a golden rule to keep the quantity bare minimum.
  15. The use of antidote is limited. It can reduce the effect of the remedy but can not stop it from working. The antidote can not reduce the periodicity of the remedy as well. If too much quantity of a remedy is used, the antidote also need to be more in quantity. The time you increase the quantity of antidote, the antidote also starts producing it’s own symptoms (effect). This results in added sufferings. That is the reason I  repeatedly advice to  Keep the quantity of the remedy to bare minimum. I will write the suggested  potency and the quantity remedy wise. The potency and the quantity depends on the remedy to be used.
  16. We must wait for the remedy to completely exhaust it’s action. If the remedy is repeated during the working of the remedy, it will start aggravation instead of cure. That means, we should never repeat the remedy, before the action of the  remedy previously given is totally finished.
  17. By repeating the remedy before time, the cure is delayed. On the other hand if the remedy is repeated only when required, the cure is achieved faster.  Actually speaking, we don't need much remedy to achieve a cure. Remember, it is a cure without medicine. Homoeopathy can not be called a wonder otherwise.
  18. If no action of the remedy is visible that means the remedy is acting on the vital organs. Some organ is invisibly weak. This weak organ attracts the bad effect of the remedy. Check  to see it urgently. Lesser the quantity, lesser the harm. More the quantity, more the harm.
  19. If the quantity is kept to bare minimum, the symptoms produced will be mild and the only difficulty you might face is to analyse the symptoms. As long as the patient feels better, it is alright. Giving micro quantity has all the advantage.
Homoeopathy is a wonderful science of symptoms, but you need to develop the art of cure. This is only possible with in-depth study, experience and experiments. Practicals become a important part. This is the front face which we have to check and see after taking up a case and even before. Please refer: htysolution.blogspot.com and htyremedies.blogspot.com
What we see, in general, is the professional face of Homoeopathy. I am putting the Homoeopathy in real sense. By following above mentioned points, we can cure every disease without causing any harm to the patient.
